2002-10-08 - 12:03 a.m. Real-Time Update October 8, 2002 I'm okay now, just getting over a miserable chest cold that kept me awake coughing. Well, I'm still coughing, but it's productive and I don't seem to be spiking a temp in the evening, now. I went to the pharmacist {my landlord} and told him my symptoms. He gave me the right medicine and turned on the floor-heat. What a luxury that is! I spent about a week sleeping {on the floor} whenever I could and then teaching my students. This week, I started a new substitute teaching gig down in Guro. It's not a big money-maker, but it keeps the avenue of subbing open. The weather is beautiful. Clear and warm days, cool nights. The poplars are starting to shed a few leaves, but the flowers are still blooming and the birds are still singing. Wish I had more to say, but I'm getting sleepy. Started this after midnight, and I did teach and travel around Seoul quite a bit today. Had a good supper of skinny noodles, beef slices and veggies in a broth flavoured with vinegar and spices at Aekyung Department Store's "food court." I'm thinking that a little HS snack might finish this day off just right. Sleep well and thanks for reading. Happy Trails! ~ Sil in Corea
