2002-09-25 - 12:12 a.m. Tuesday, September 24 "Countin' flowers on the wall, That don't bother me at all. Playin' solitaire till dawn With a deck of fifty-one." - - Ray Stevens (as I remember) 11 a.m. I'm broke and down in the dumps. It's not a good space. I got some shockingly bad news from back home and have been working through feelings of grief for the past couple weeks. Jim's been a solid reference point of sanity. So have folks here in the fellowship. Otherwise, I've had about all I could do to keep the "pad" here neat and prepare lessons. With the students, I can get outside my head and focus on their needs for a couple hours at a time. That's good. But, when one doesn't show up, I'm stressed because I need their "tuition" just to keep going. Midnight -- Jim called and invited me down to Kyungwon to have lunch and get a loan. We hung out together for a couple hours between classes. He told me about some very good resources. I checked out a bookstore, and am going back for more time tomorrow. I was so bushed when I got home at 7:30, that I laid down to rest and woke up close to 11 p.m. I promise I'll get back with more news and views in a day or so. Chusok {the traditional harvest festival} deserves a page to itself. Happy Trails! ~ Sil
